Meander: The Meander was the most important symbol in Ancient Greece.

The first geometrical shape, the Greek key, symbolizing infinity or the eternal flow of things (the eternity and eternal love and the line of life) and represent the maze of the labyrinth.

The meander motif took its name from the river Meander, a river with many twists, mentioned by Homer in Iliad.

The motif is also known as Greek key or Greek fret. Meander symbolizes as well the bonds of friendship, of love and devotion and that’s the reason it’s often given as marriage gift.

Lapis lazuli
Lapis lazuli is a semi-precious stone. Its main ingredient is lazurite, which is responsible for its blue color.

It also contains calcite and bolostonite, as well as small iron pyrite crystals, thanks to which it exhibits metallic flashes. Etymologically, lapis will say stone in Latin.

The second word comes from the Persian word Lazuar, which again means stone in Persian. Eventually lazuli became the root of the words azure, azzurro, azul, which in various European languages, will say blue. So Lapis Lazuli is the blue stone.

To the ancient Greeks, Romans and the Bible, lapis lazuli is referred to as sapphire.

Theophrastus and Pliny describe sapphire as a stone containing dust or stains of gold.

This description corresponds to the lapis with the golden spots of the iron pyrite. It brings joy, optimism, longevity, peace, harmony and peace.

As with most precious metals tarnish, so does silver.
